An ABILIS redundant system — two compact and equal appliances – are installed in two different locations of the estate, because of disaster-recovery. This is the autonomous manager of all the technical resources your property needs: Internet connectivity, security, telephony, automation, video-surveillance and alerts in case something becomes critical.
ABILIS does not depend on the cloud. It does not require an IT specialist to live with it. It is as easy to use as a car. One dashboard permits to control all functions. In case of extraordinary needs or incidents, for all needs you require to call one help-desk, only.
The Abilis connects to multiple Internet lines simultaneously: wired lines, fibre, wireless links, Starlink satellites and mobile 5G/LTE services.
All lines work together at the same time. If any line goes down, data is dynamically distributed over the remaining working ones. The only effect is a reduction in speed. Your smart home stays connected at all times.
Camera recordings stay on your own device — not on Amazon's servers, not on Google's, not on Apple's.
Telephone calls with Abilisphone are the same as discussions at home: they never leave your walls. Calls between mobile phones — wherever they are used, with whatever carrier — are encrypted with a private key, producing the same kind of messages used by banks for financial transactions.
There are no monthly fees, other than the one for your private support services.
Someone rings the bell at your entrance. Your smartphone rings — in the kitchen, in the garden, at your hotel in Milan, or on your boat. You see the visitor not just with the entry-phone's camera, but with all your cameras. You speak to the visitor. You press a button and the gate opens.
The bell at the entry, the intercom, the smartphone, the Internet connection and the gate-opener — all is handled by one device. And that device is driven by yourself.
Cameras at every entrance, along the perimeter, at the pool, in the garage. When something strange is discovered, the recording switches to high quality — and you receive a telephone call or SMS text message immediately.
No monthly surveillance subscription. The footage is on your own device, in your own home, under your own control. Want to review what happened last Tuesday at 3 AM? Open the browser and scroll the timeline.
If you like a physical deterrent, the Abilis can simultaneously switch on the floodlights and activate a loudspeaker playing back the roar of a lion…
Kitchen, master bedroom, study, pool house, staff quarters — each room and employee has its own terminal-extension, in the relevant wall-tablet or smartphone.
When you leave the premises, your mobile phone goes on being an extension of the house-system. Incoming calls follow you. Outgoing calls show the manor's number. No extra SIM card is required. No bothersome administration is required. All goes between your mobile and your multi-purpose ABILIS, through your private WiFi or through the Internet, with no third party involved.
You arrive in the evening: The entrance sensor detects you. The path lights come on. The shutters open. The living room is set to 22°C. All automatic — one event triggers a chain of others.
You leave for the season: All lights switch off. Shutters close. The heating drops to economy mode. But the cameras stay active, and the system begins switching lights on and off in different rooms at realistic intervals, creating the impression someone is home.
You want to check from abroad: Open the Abilis on your phone. A visual floor plan of the villa shows you what's on, what's off, and what the temperature is in each zone. Tap any button to override anything.
The Abilis has four ways to reach you when something important happens:
| Quiet notification. Good for daily logs and non-urgent events. | |
| Text message | Gets your attention. Motion detected at the gate, a camera offline, the internet switched to backup. |
| Phone call | Impossible to miss. The Abilis calls your mobile and plays a recorded alert. Break-in alarm. Flood sensor. Fire detector. |
| Physical action | Activates the loudspeaker, floodlights and smoke curtain without waiting for a person to take action. |
You choose which events trigger which alerts. Combine them: a perimeter breach could trigger all four at once — text you, call you, light up the garden, and sound the alarm.
When guests connect to the WiFi, they get internet — and only internet. They cannot see your cameras, your files, your phone system, or your automation controls. Two separate worlds, managed by one device.
For children's devices, the Abilis blocks dangerous or inappropriate websites automatically — without installing anything on their phones or tablets. It works on every device that connects to the network.
A private encrypted tunnel connects your villa's Abilis to an Abilis at your other property. Through this tunnel, everything works as if you were sitting in the living room: cameras, automation, phone calls, system administration.
No Cloud-service in between. No subscription. No one can intercept the connection. The two Abilis units talk directly to each other through their own encrypted channel — the most secure form of remote access available.
Like the warning for the tyre pressure in the car: it may never activate, but knowing that it is there extends your comfort.
| Automatic threat protection | The Abilis updates its blacklists daily from European cybercrime agencies — silently blocking known threats before they reach your network. |
| Disk space monitoring | When camera storage approaches its limit, the system warns you before recordings stop — not after. |
| Self-monitoring | If any internal component behaves abnormally, the system alerts your support team before it becomes a problem you notice. |
| Automatic restart | After a power outage, every service — phones, cameras, automation, internet — restarts in the correct order without human intervention. |
| Time-based rules | The children's network blocks social media after 22:00. The garden lights follow the sunset. The heating drops at night. All automatic, all silent. |
NOTICE: all these features require to be configured. A default setup is there, but just as a simple example.

A conventional setup requires a separate router, firewall, camera recorder, telephone exchange, automation controller, alarm gateway, VPN box, and a cloud surveillance subscription. Eight vendors. Eight interfaces. Eight support contracts. Eight things that can fail independently and blame each other.
With Abilis: one device handles internet, security, cameras, phones, automation, alerts, and remote access. One interface. One screen. One support number. If something isn't working, there is only one place to look — and one team that knows it inside out.
The Abilis is the brain of the property. Some specialised functions require companion equipment that connects to it:
| What you want | What's needed alongside Abilis |
|---|---|
| WiFi in every room and garden | Professional wireless access points. The Abilis manages the network they connect to. |
| Music in every room | A multi-room audio system. Runs on the network managed by Abilis. |
| Voice commands | A voice assistant. Runs on the WiFi managed by Abilis. |
| Precise climate control | A building thermostat system. Abilis can switch zones and monitor temperatures. |
| Motorised blinds | Dedicated controllers. Abilis sends open/close commands. |
| Solar and energy monitoring | The solar system's own monitoring. Abilis reads its status and alerts on failures. |
Because the Abilis is a single, fully integrated system, the people who built it know every part of it. When you need help, you call one number — and the engineer on the other end can see exactly what's happening, fix it remotely, and explain what went wrong in plain language.
No finger-pointing between vendors. No "that's not our department." One system. One team.
