39.4. Links features

39.4.1. Link check

Link check allows to automatically manage an eventual “True link backup” (onto ISDN line) in case of failure of the permanent VPN connection. When activating a packet voice, Abilis checks continuously the link using the parameters below:

LC-VALUES

Enables/disables the use of the “Link-Check” protocol, and consequently the transmission of “Link-check” frames. The default value is SYS and means that parameters that are used are directly taken by NPV port. If LINK means that must be used local parameters;

TRY

Number of attempts considered for the state detection.

TOUT

Timeout for the link-check reply reception.

DLY-UP

Interval between attempts while state is UP.

DLY-TOUT

Interval between attempts while state is UP and last try timed out.

THR-DN

Percentage of successful attempts to declare state DOWN.

BURST

Number of requests sent at each attempt.

BURST-DLY

Interval between requests of the same attempt.

These parameters are in the link section:

39.4.2. Other parameters

CR

Enables the cryptography to be applied on the frames passing through the resource. If YES VOICE: cryptography is applied on VOICE traffic type.

VRED

Voice frames redundancy [NONE - No redundancy, FM - redundancy is active only on fax/modem frame type, VOICE - redundancy is active only on voice frame type, ALL - redundancy is active on FM+VOICE frame type, SYS - value is taken from NPV configuration].
